Modernise Your Car

After researching on YouTube and viewing about 5 installation videos, I felt confident enough to install this in my Ford C-Max late 2015 model. Getting the dashboard trim off to remove the screen was a struggle but I found a plastic paddle edge for leverage and got there in the end. After all was connected including the supplied microphone, packing the wiring and the module into the limited space behind the screen was a squeeze - I had to reposition the wires and module a few times until it all fitted tightly. At first there was no sound but when I went back to the installation videos and watched the end of the video I realised I had omitted a sound setting in the top menu called Settings. I have had the occasional bluetooth disconnection which I can't explain why but it was quickly rectified. Overall I am very happy that it all went well. I am enjoying the Android Auto interface, along with the Google assistant (hold the voice button for a few seconds) and the available apps that were recognised in my phone for phone, contacts, music, radio player and message replies. I like that when I reverse, I can still at least hear the beeping when nearing an object although it is quite easy to switch back to SYNC simply by holding the Call End button for a few seconds.
