I bought a 2020 car not realizing It didn’t have carplay capabilities via Bluetooth and drove It for a year plugging It in which I think hurt the battery do my phone over time. Ever since buying this my phone is much happier, car is always CarPlay ready when I turn It o a nd the sound quality is amazing. Cannot recommend this product enough
Before I got this adapter, I had to plug in my phone to a dedicated Car Play usb outlet in my car. Sometimes I would forget, and then I'd have to pull over to do it, and at other times, the connection to the usb port wasn't very good, and I'd lose car play. I got this adapter, plugged it in to the dedicated Car Play usb outlet, connected it to my phone via bluetooth, and now as long as my phone is with me, I get Car Play automatically. It's a wonderful game changer.
