As long as you get the dip switches right, you should be good to go! Works great and I haven't had any issues. The "manual" (it was photocopied paper) I was provided was entirely in Mandarin, and they never responded to email.
You'll have to watch several videos on installation. Make sure you watch the ones specific to your car. Take your time and use the right tools and you'll be good to go!
I have had this installed in my F10 for the past 5 months. Just recently took my car in for a simple oil change, and the dealer said they tried multiple times to reset my service interval, and it won’t take. I took the car home, plugged in my Carly, and I cannot get a dang thing to work. The cars computers are working, no CELs, but this thing is interfering with the OBD2 functions. Will have to remove and if this thing is somehow not to blame, I’ll edit this review, otherwise, this thing is absolutely to blame.
Install was a little confusing (messy- lots of wires) but once it was set up it works great with google maps and Spotify!
This box has taken a lot of hours to install and figure out how to use! My iDrive clock and SOS button are having issues and will not connect to BMW without blue tooth connectivity. Still trouble shooting. The youtube app is not very functional and neither is screen mirroring. As someone mentioned the biggest downside to this mmi box is lack of detailed instructions and support. But the price is right! Will be a great addition once I get the bugs worked out.
