Toyota inalámbrico Carplay Android Auto

Building the unit in the Toyota Prius was very easy.
Video quality is al little low, but acceptabele to me. Audio quality is unfortunately also noticeble less. And that is not acceptable to me.
Unfortunately it is not possible to use the normal high quality audio of the toyota radio and Android auto at the same moment. If you activate the CarABC unit via Bluetooth, the audio is automatic also via this unit.
This makes the CarABC unit a dissapointment.

Best alternative to spending a ton of money to change your head unit. Toyota entune stopped doing updates last year so I needed something to work better with navigating and music with my phone. I installed it per the instructions and everything works. You have to get crafty with cable management. I used some Velcro ties and found the best place was on the driver side under the vent. Took me bout 30 mins to figure out using it and adjusting the sound and brightness. Found that usb is better than Bluetooth. Especially when getting phone calls. I ran the usb wire under the center console along the driver side and plug in my phone there. It charges it pretty fast too. I ordered a front camera from Amazon and hooked it up to this unit. You can set it to appear for up to 10 seconds after you put in D. Or you can view it anytime if you need to like overland off-roading. Like many have mention the screen is a little blurry but who cares, no one is driving looking at the screen the whole time anyway. Looks good enough to me.

This allowed me to add CarPlay to my 2017 Rav4 without replacing the stereo. The device is plug-n-play with easy installation. Has some bugs but are easy to resolve.

I bought this to upgrade Toyota's horrible Entune system in my 2017 Corolla. I didn't want to spend a crazy amount for aftermarket radio, and wanted to just incorporate my existing radio and touch screen. Make sure you've secured it well behind dash as constant jostling could lead to loose connections. Other than that, it works exactly the way I hoped it would. It allows my Toyota to incorporate Carplay, retain all steering wheel controls, as well as the backup cam. The screen resolution isn't amazing, but that's Toyota's issue, not this unit's. But I can see all maps and displays perfectly fine, and the touchscreen works seamlessly. Install took about 30 minutes.

Received quickly but harness doesn’t fit [****] series Landcruiser. Returning for a refund.
